Fatty Liver Disease is estimated to affect one third of adults and ten percent of children in Texas.  This accumulation of fat in the liver is often undiagnosed and can advance to cause inflammation and liver damage including cirrhosis and liver cancer.  By raising awareness of this disease and its risk factors, and by discussing the role of diet and nutrition in managing Fatty Liver Disease, we hope to empower individuals and parents with information they can discuss with their healthcare provider and with information to help them prevent or manage Fatty Liver Disease.
