The Liver Giver Club

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Jen, and I’m a living liver donor.

My care team did an exceptional job supporting my medical needs, but the guidance that helped me the most came from other donors. Even though I understood the process, I still had so many questions:

  • What should I bring to the hospital?
  • How do I talk about this with my family?
  • What do I need to prepare before surgery?
  • For crying out loud why do I keep crying now that the surgery is over and I’m healing well?

If you’ve asked any of these questions, you’re not alone.

The Liver Giver Club exists because living donors deserve connection and support beyond the hospital stay.

We’re here to support you on your journey.

By bringing donors together in welcoming, structured, supportive spaces, the Texas Liver Foundation hopes to offer another meaningful layer of care to the donor experience — one rooted in connection, empathy, and lived experience.

We can’t wait to connect with you.

Absolutely! We welcome anyone who is seriously considering living donation. This is a perfect place to learn more from those who have been through the process.

Absolutely not. The Liver Giver Club is a peer support network and not a substitute for professional medical advice. We encourage you to discuss any health concerns with your coordinator, doctor, or transplant team.
