My care team did an exceptional job supporting my medical needs, but the guidance that helped me the most came from other donors. Even though I understood the process, I still had so many questions:
If you’ve asked any of these questions, you’re not alone.
The Liver Giver Club exists because living donors deserve connection and support beyond the hospital stay.
By bringing donors together in welcoming, structured, supportive spaces, the Texas Liver Foundation hopes to offer another meaningful layer of care to the donor experience — one rooted in connection, empathy, and lived experience.
We can’t wait to connect with you.
We can’t wait to meet you! Let us know your interest level.

Our monthly virtual meetings are informal and confidential. You are welcome to attend any session that feels helpful and there is no expectation to attend every month. They are a time for members to share experiences, ask questions, and offer encouragement to one another. A facilitator will be present to guide the conversation.

January — Gaps in Care: What the Hospital Didn’t Prepare You For
February — The Roller Coaster: Reactions from Friends and Family
March — Naming the Fears: What We Don’t Say Out Loud
April — Relationship Changes with Recipients (Both Beautiful and Complicated)
May — Nutrition Before and After Donation
June — The Hard Stuff: Grief, Loss, Relapse, and Complications

Absolutely! We welcome anyone who is seriously considering living donation. This is a perfect place to learn more from those who have been through the process.
Absolutely not. The Liver Giver Club is a peer support network and not a substitute for professional medical advice. We encourage you to discuss any health concerns with your coordinator, doctor, or transplant team.
Jen facilitates the Liver Giver Club and is happy to answer any questions about joining. Don’t hesitate to reach out.
