Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is one of the most serious chronic diseases of our time. 1 in 10 children are affected by NAFLD and many aren’t even aware of it. The good news is that we can stop the disease by addressing childhood obesity, starting with watching how much sugar we eat.
Working with Doctors for Change, we created a poster “How Many Chocolate Chips are in Your Favorite Drink?” and have posted them in pediatrician offices across the Houston area and are continuing to expand. The posters are conversations starters for healthcare providers and parents.
When parents have questions, they can use the QR code to link to our website for more information.
Your generous gift will help us fulfill our mission to inform Texans about liver health and liver disease, and to improve their quality of life and outcomes through education, advocacy and partnership. All donations remain in the community.
