Each year, Texas Liver Foundation proudly joins forces with organizations across the globe to mark Global Fatty Liver Day, a unified call to raise awareness about Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH).

This year’s theme, “Act Now. Screen Today,” is one we take to heart. At TLF, we believe that if Texans knew just one score, their ALT (alanine aminotransferase), we could change the future of liver health in our state.

ALT is a simple blood test. It’s quick. It’s accessible. And in many cases, it can be life-saving.

That’s why we created whatsmyALT.com—a user-friendly resource that explains exactly how to request an ALT test and what your numbers might mean. It’s liver health made simple, because knowledge shouldn’t be complicated.

This Global Fatty Liver Day, we’re asking you to take one small step with the power to make a big impact: Know your ALT. Share the message. Save lives.
